BANKING AND INSURANCE PROGRAM

Purpose: Finance-Banking and Insurance department was opened in the 2015-2016 academic year. At the end of the 2016-2017 academic year, the first graduates were given, and the second education program was opened in the same semester and students were started to be accepted. The aim of the Banking and Insurance program is to graduate students who know the basic concepts in the fields of Banking and Insurance, have high self-confidence who can work in all kinds of Finance and / or Insurance Sectors, have advanced technological infrastructure, have communication skills and have vision.

Student Registration Admission Requirements to the Program: Within the framework of the regulations determined by the Higher Education Institution (YÖK), student admission to this program is made through the examination system conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). After the students notify the program preferences they want to study, they are placed in the relevant programs by this center according to the type of TYT score they get from this exam.

Language of Instruction: Turkish

Education time: Vocational education period is 2 years; Our students will graduate with 120 ECTS credits at the end of 2 years. In addition to the compulsory and elective courses given to the students during the education, the students are required to successfully complete the 30 working days industry-based education (internship).

Laboratory Facilities: Bolu Vocational School has 3 computer labs for our students to teach computer and related computer-assisted courses.

Degree Earned Upon Graduation: In order to successfully complete all of the courses available in the program (120 ECTS in total) and to graduate, they must be successful with at least a DD grade from all the courses prescribed in the curriculum.

Students who successfully complete this program are entitled to receive a "Banking and Insurance Associate Degree".

Employment Opportunities: If those who successfully complete the program are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam opened by OSYM; Banking, Banking and Finance, Banking and Finance, Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Business Information Management, Business-Economics, Capital Markets, Insurance, Insurance and Risk Management, Actuarial undergraduate programs can transfer vertically.

They have the opportunity to work in the field of banking and/or insurance. SPK etc. If they are successful in the exams of the institutions, they can work as experts in their fields.

Projects: Cooperation protocols are prepared with relevant public-non-governmental organizations.

Activities: Meetings with sector representatives and students are provided by organizing conferences and conversations on various topics with the managers of prominent institutions and organizations from Bolu or other provinces in their sectors.
